Additionally, it is common for patients to be relatively unaware of some of the issues related to their vein disease, as some symptoms most common with spider and varicose veins may not immediately effect their daily life. Since vein disease can frequently occur in women who have given birth or in men who have had sports related injuries, and the pain or symptoms associated increase gradually over time, most patients are not even aware of the seriousness of their vein disorders until the disease has manifested into large bulging veins or colorful spider veins.
